Pennridge Yellowjackets president Tony Romeo
receives the Chevy Youth Soccer donation from A&T Chevrolet general manager, Chris Burcik

In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, A&TChevrolet is supporting Pennridge Yellowjackets Soccer through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer program. The sponsorship includes both monetary and equipment donations during the 2014 youth soccer season.

A&T Chevrolet general manager Chris Burcik presented Pennridge Yellowjackets Soccer president Tony Romeo with this year’s equipment donation, which includes corner flags, field cones, first aid kits, and mesh scrimmage vests.

Chevrolet Youth Soccer is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve.  A&T Chevrolet is sponsoring Pennridge Yellowjackets Soccer as part of Chevrolet’s nationwide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time.

“We are looking forward to the Pennridge Yellowjackets having a great season and are glad to play a part in that success,” Chris Burcik, general manager of A&T Chevrolet, said. “Chevrolet Youth Soccer is just one example of A&T supporting the community – without them, we wouldn’t be here.”

The 2014 Chevy Youth Soccer program will provide assistance to nearly 300 organizations in the northeastern U.S. and Chevrolet dealers will contribute over $450,000 in financial and equipment donations.

Bruce Allen's 1966 Corvette Coupe

Presented by the Good Time Motorvators and Perkasie Olde Towne Association, we were especially touched that they honored our long-standing relationship and our founder, Bruce Allen, by renaming the A&T Chevrolet Best in Show trophy to the Bruce Allen Memorial Award.

Here's Bruce's son Jeff Allen, president of A&T Chevrolet-Subaru, presenting the prize to the son of David Erb, winner for his 1969 Ford Mustang.

It was a terrific night to come together with friends and family and enjoy the labor of love each owner bestows on his/her vehicle. The complete list of winners can be found here.

We can't wait until next year.

Remembering Bruce Allen

Our hearts are full during this difficult time from the many calls, visits and gestures received from our friends in this great community we serve.

From the Pennridge Little League holding a brief ceremony of remembrance during last week's playoff tournament, to the Sellersville Volunteer Fire Department lending us their mourning bunting we are so grateful.

It's all a testament to Bruce Allen, who will be remembered during a visitation time tonight 6-8pm and tomorrow 9-11am with services directly following, all at Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie.

Thank you to The Intelligencer for this article which appeared in their Sunday, July 27, 2014 edition.

Honoring Bruce Allen

Today we have very sad news to share. Our hearts are heavy at the loss of Bruce Allen, who passed away Wednesday, July 23. As many of you know, he was the owner and operator of A&T Chevrolet-Subaru. A family business, this loss hits especially hard as we mourn him as husband, father, grandfather, mentor, colleague and friend.

Bruce Allen's life and legacy will be honored at Bernard Suess Funeral Home (606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA 18944) with a calling time Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6-8pm and Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 9-11am. A service will follow the close of the Wednesday morning calling time.

A&T Chevrolet and A&T Subaru will be closed until 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 30.

An online condolence book is available to sign here.

Cancer took him from his family and from us far too soon. Rather than send flowers, the Allen family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, #150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
