A&T Chevrolet-Subaru Lends a Hand to the Perkasie Cub Scout Pack 196 Annual Pinewood Derby
We were honored to be asked to be a part of Perkasie Cub Scout Pack 196's Annual Pinewood Derby. Held last night at Deibler Elementary School, the evening included a series of heats between all of the Pinewood Derby racing cars, created by the scouts.
In addition, each derby vehicle was evaluated for design and appearance - that's where we came in. A&T Collision Manager, Tom Mayberry, served as one of three judges. Joined by Ragtops & Roadsters' Dave Hutchison and Rob Ruggiero from Ruggiero's Auto Body, the cars were evaluated for workmanship, creativity and overall coolness.
Giving each Pinewood Derby car the same meticulous eye he gives our customers' vehicles in our shop for body work, Tom was in charge of determining the "Most Creative" design. His choice was the red derby car seen here:
This "Most Creative" Pinewood Derby car was created by Cub Scout Mekki Gaziz, pictured here receiving his prize ribbon from Tom Mayberry.
We congratulate ALL of the Scouts in Pack 196 for a job well done!
