A&T Chevrolet-Subaru 2013 Community Corner Roundup

As 2013 comes to a close, we want to thank you for your continued support.  Without you - our loyal customers, neighbors and friends - providing excellence in automobile service and sales and participating in all the terrific community events throughout the year wouldn't be possible.

Here's a brief recap of some of our 2013 community events.

In April, the A&T Chevrolet-Subaru team took first place honors at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County's annual Bowling for Kids' Sake.

Then it was time to "Play Ball!" with the Pennridge Little League for their opening day festivities, including driving the dignitaries in the annual parade.

In May, we continued our sponsorship of the Big Wheel Rock'n'Roll Downhill Derby, one of the attractions of Perkasie Olde Towne Association's Springfest.

The 2013 winners are interviewed by the press.
Here's a look at the 2012 Downhill Derby:

A huge thank you for allowing us to defend our BucksHappening title as the Best Car Dealership in Bucks County. In 2013 we were also among the top finalists for Auto Repair.

Cookouts for Causes continued in 2013 - many thanks to everyone who came out, ate a hotdog or got your car washed and donated to all the terrific groups throughout the summer.

Pennridge Community Day is always a favorite event. We're in charge of the water balloon toss in a day that includes "old school" events like three-legged races, a baby parade, canoe races and a watermelon eating contest!

The balloons arrive...

Time to toss!

We love to partner with our friends at Last Chance Ranch, an animal rescue located in Quakertown. This year, we were the main sponsor of their annual open house and also lent a hand at their PupPawLooza music festival.
Visit A&T Subaru Saturday, January 11, 2014 for the rescheduled Share the Love / ASPCA Mega Adoption Day with Last Chance Ranch.

The year was full of car shows - whether Perkasie Olde Towne Association's Under the Stars Car Show...

or our 2nd Annual Tuner Night...

or our Annual Corvette Show...there was something for every car lover.

We had the pleasure of volunteering on the Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County's Penn Villa Townhomes in Sellersville.

Every year we're privileged to participate in the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Drive Away the Cold winter coat program. We were able to donate coats to Pennridge FISH and the Bucks County Opportunity Council.

Sellersville's Winterfest is always a fun event.  Here's A&T's Christmas tree, part of Sellersville Museum's Annual Wonderland of Trees.  Open to the community during December, people are asked to "vote" for their favorite tree by placing coins in the designated boxes with each tree. The tree with the most money at the end of the event wins, but the real winner is Pennridge FISH, the recipient of all the donations.

Here we are again! This time, at the Perkasie Tree Lighting for the oldest continuous outdoor tree lighting in the United States.

Subaru of America, Inc.'s Share the Love program returned for a sixth year. This year, each dealership was encouraged to partner with a sixth local charity. Keystone Opportunity Center got the nod and a Networking Mixer was held to collect food donations and raise awareness about their mission.

Our last official community event of the year was a lot of fun.  We hosted Pennridge Girl Scout Troop #21076 as they completed the requirements to earn their Car Care Badge.
Sales representative Mike Florian shows the scouts
what to look for under the hood of a Chevrolet Cruze.

Service manager George Davidheiser explains the maintenance requirements,
including PA State Inspection.

Thanks once again for a terrific year. We look forward to serving you in 2014. Have a safe and happy New Year!

Pennridge Girl Scout Troop 21076 Completes Car Car Badge at A&T Chevrolet

We were so happy to host the girls and leaders of Pennridge Girl Scout Troop 21076 on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Their visit was one of the requirements to complete their Car Care Badge.

They started their visit with A&T Chevrolet service manager, George Davidheiser, who taught them about car maintenance and state inspection requirements.

Then, sales representative Mike Florian taught the girls about how to shop for a car as well as negotiate the price of the car.

Hands up, who wants a purple Chevrolet Spark?

The girls learned all about the safety features of the Chevrolet Cruze.

And we tried to find out how many Girl Scouts fit inside a Cruze...

The girls seemed to really like this red Chevrolet Camaro...who wouldn't?

Thanks for visiting A&T Chevrolet, Girl Scout Troop 21076! We hope to see you again when you get your driver's licenses!

Christmas in Perkasie

Earlier this month we were there as Perkasie ushered in the Christmas season with the oldest outdoor tree lighting in the USA.

Many thanks to the Perkasie Olde Towne Association for inviting us to be part of this tradition.

Christmas Wonderland Continues at Sellersville Museum

Be sure to include this community gem in your weekend plans. Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th, from Noon-4pm is your last chance to visit the Sellersville Museum's Community Christmas Tree Forest.

Wander through this indoor Winter Wonderland and vote for your favorite community tree (hint: We hope its ours.). All proceeds benefit Pennridge FISH, so everyone wins.

Many thanks to the volunteers of the Sellersville Museum for their care and efforts in making this a terrific event.
